This No-Cook Cranberry Apple Relish is sure to be everyone’s favorite side dish at Thanksgiving and all of your holiday dinners! It’s a quick and easy recipe to make with cranberries, raspberries, apples, and orange marmalade – and is the perfect bright and refreshing relish to pair with savory main dishes.
Fresh cranberries, sweet fruits, and a hint of orange… I love this cranberry orange relish recipe SO much! Serve it once at your next family gathering, and be prepared to make it a part of your annual Thanksgiving and holiday dinner traditions, too.
The relish always gets rave reviews, but it is *secretly* the easiest no-cook dish I prepare every year. It’s made with just 5 ingredients and comes together in only 10 minutes. Seriously, it doesn’t get much easier than this recipe!
I suggest you make this fabulously flavorful relish a day ahead for ease. Then it is ready to enjoy cold for a dinner side dish, or to use as a sweet and crunchy condiment with other foods.
Recipe Ingredients
- Cranberries – fresh is best
- Raspberries – fresh or frozen (do not thaw)
- Sugar – white cane sugar, or coconut sugar
- Apples – I like sweet and crunchy Honeycrisp
- Orange marmalade – the “secret” ingredient for a sweet and tart cranberry apple relish
How to Make Easy No-Cook Cranberry Apple Relish
- Gather fresh cranberries, fresh or frozen raspberries, Honeycrisp apples (or your favorite apple), orange marmalade, and a bit of cane sugar.
- Toss all of the ingredients into the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade. Pulse on and off until relish is a chunky consistency. For a smoother consistency, just pulse a little longer.
Bam! Fresh cranberries for Thanksgiving in less than 10 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
I love this relish so much I eat it with a spoon.
Fresh cranberry sauce will enhance your Thanksgiving plate… Add it on the table alongside Roast Turkey with Apple Cider Gravy or Fresh Herb Crockpot Turkey Breast, Southern Yams, Fresh Herb Turkey Stuffing, and Buttery Parker House Rolls.
But don’t stop there! Try on crackers with goat cheese or cream cheese. It’s great as a condiment on sandwiches – like that leftover turkey one you’ll likely be making soon – or other sammies with savory meats.
Or how about a topping for oatmeal or yogurt? On top of Muesli! (I’m now having that for breakfast tomorrow) My list can go on and on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Cranberry sauce, like what you get solid in a can and homemade versions, have a slightly thick and gelatinous consistency. It’s almost like a firm Jello. Cranberry relish, on the other hand, is made with finely shredded or pureed cranberries and other ingredients. So it has a texture like a classic relish or fine slaw.
Store the relish in a container with a lid. It tastes best when enjoyed within a day or so, but it will keep fresh in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Yes, you can! Transfer the cranberry orange relish to an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw the container in the refrigerator overnight before serving cold.
Serve the no-cook relish cold for the most flavorful and refreshing Thanksgiving side dish.

I make this dish without sugar. Simply add sugar free any flavor jello. No extra liquid needed. And I like coarsely chopped walnuts. Let it refrigerate, and serve.
