You will need:
Bircher Muesli with Bruleed Cherries
2 cups fresh squeezed orange juice
2 cups organic rolled oats
2 cups Greek yogurt
1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and sliced in half
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 cup sliced, toasted almonds
In a large mixing bowl stir together orange juice and oats. Stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve. Stir in yogurt. Arrange cherries in a heat proof dish. Drizzle with honey. Place under a broiler for a few minutes until edges of cherries begin to brown and honey starts to bubble. Remove from broiler and spoon on top of oat mixture. Sprinkle with almonds. Makes 4 servings.
Place 2 cups rolled oats in a large bowl.
Add 2 cups fresh orange juice. Actually you can use any fresh juice you may have.
Stir together.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night.
The oats will soak up the orange juice and will become soft.
I spoon out the amount I want to eat into a bowl.
Add equal amounts of yogurt.
I would like you to notice how creamy and beautiful my yogurt is. I made it. It’s all natural. It’s whole fat. It’s fabulous.
Stir. Set aside for a minute while preparing the cherries.
Pit the cherries.
Slice in half.
Arrange in a heat proof dish.
Drizzle with honey (I lost my drizzle with honey pic. So sorry) I hope you notice my lovely honey. I purchased it from a farm stand. It’s fresh spring raw organic honey. It’s thin and light. It’s delicious.
Place under a preheated broiler. Broil until the edges begin to brown and honey bubbles.
You can use a brulee torch as well.
This picture is extremely close up. I don’t like to over cook the cherries. I like them browning a bubbling but still cold on the inside.
Spoon cherries on top on Bircher.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Enjoy!
I can’t wait for PEACHES!!!
Tomorrow I’m going to top it with the last cup of raspberries from my garden. I can’t wait for breakfast.

Yes, I agree with Helen, next you need to share your yogurt recipe. It looks like whipped cream. I tried yogurt twice and failed both times. And my family does not like sharing their raw milk with my recipe failures.
Janet Barton says
I should have that post up this week. You definitely don't want to waste the raw milk. It's too expensive.
Helen says
Please oh please oh please will you share your yogurt recipe!!?????
Janet Barton says

I love oatmeal TOO!! I have never ever seen a cold version like this. It looks positively delicious, and I'm pinning to try as soon as it gets back up to 90 around here. Which shouldn't take too long 🙂 Thank you!!!
