Each morning I start my day (after my run, of course) with a smoothie or a smoothie bowl. I love my blended berry beet breakfast smoothie because I can add a raw beet into the mixture for an extra boost of nutrients.
Blended berry beet breakfast smoothie is mixed with cherries, strawberries, and banana. That is such a long title…oh the things I must do for SEO.
Drinking a smoothie every day provides a nutrient-rich meal. Today I blended the fruit with macadamia nut milk. I use whatever nut milk I have on hand. On a hot day, I like to use coconut water. It’s so refreshing and adds potassium. Yum.
It’s a great idea to have fruit prepped and in the freezer. I have bags of frozen cherries, bananas, blueberries, and pineapple in a basket ready to go. I like to use fresh strawberries for some reason. Add a sliver of raw beet and you have an energy and healthy packed smoothie in no time.
I like to add a dollop of tart yogurt and a sprinkle of bee pollen or hemp seeds…or both. *

Recipe Notes
Beets are high in immune-boosting vitamin C, fiber, and essential minerals like potassium (essential for healthy nerve and muscle function) and manganese (which is good for your bones, liver, kidneys, and pancreas). Beets also contain the B vitamin folate, which helps reduce the risk of birth defects.
Go Beets!!!
