Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons coconut cream
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh ginger juice or 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon powder turmeric
  • 2 dates pitted
  • 1/8 teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt
  • fresh ground pepper if desired

Instructions

  1. In a blender add almond milk, coconut cream, ginger, turmeric, dates, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into container and refrigerate until cold
  3. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh ground pepper, if desired

Recipe Notes

  1. I like using homemade almond milk.  If using purchased almond milk, buy a brand that doesn't contain thickeners or gums.  That's no bueno.
  2. Dates can be omitted if almond milk is already sweetened
  3. Adding pepper is a way to boost the absorption of curcumin found in turmeric which has powerful anti-inflammatory effects.  Wow!
