Bircher Muesli with Bruleed Cherries

Muesli is a great way to get in a bowl of oatmeal when it's hot out. This is so refreshing to me after a long, hot run.

  • 2 cups fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups organic rolled oats
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh cherries pitted and sliced in half
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup sliced toasted almonds

  1. In a large mixing bowl stir together orange juice and oats.  Stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight.  When ready to serve.  Stir in yogurt.  Arrange cherries in a heat proof dish.  Drizzle with honey.  Place under a broiler for a few minutes until edges of cherries begin to brown and honey starts to bubble.  Remove from broiler and spoon on top of oat mixture.  Sprinkle with almonds.
